MOJO221 - Thank you card

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  I spent the holiday with my parents in the mountains.  My mom did a lot of cooking for all of us so I wanted to send her a quick thank you note.  I used the sketch challenge over at Mojo Monday to create her this card.

Santa Ornaments

I made these great and easy ornaments for some people at work.  They turned out super cute!!  Thanks to The Sassy Scrapper for the idea.

This year's Christmas Cards

I finally finished my cards for this year.  Whew it took a while to come up with a design but once I did the cards were easy to assemble.  I am in love with the glitter paper and the stocking punch from Stampin Up!  I will be trying to come up with creative ways to use the stocking punch all year long and not just at Christmas.

This week the Stampin Royalty Challenge really goes with my card.  I love picture challenges as it not only gives you a color palette but also usually gives you the idea for what stamps to use.  What do you think??

Cute box using Laughing Cow Cheese wedges container

I love the Laughing Cow cheese wedges that come in the circle box.  For only 35 calories a piece, they sure are delicious.  I had just used the last wedge and was on my way to put the box in the recycle when I noticed it would make a really cute box decorated.  I have a very good friend who has a birthday coming up so I thought I'd try making this container into something special.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  I picked up some Lindt teddy bear chocolates to put inside.

MOJO217 - Special card for a young cancer patient

I recieved a very touching email from a friend whose 16 yr old niece has been diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer.  She asked for anonomyous donations of a scarf/hat to send to her niece to help brighten her days as she is having a tough time with the treatments.  I immediately said YES I'd love love to send something.  I made this card using the inspiration from the Mojo Monday sketch.  Now I just need to get the scarf and hat together to send to her.  Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts.  So young to have cancer.

I plan on sending anonomyous cards for weeks to just give her niece a little hello so she knows that many people are praying for her.

MOJO216 Thank you Card

I wanted to send my mom a thank you card for all her hard work she put into Thanksgiving.  This was the first year without my grandmother and my mom wanted to have our usual family meal.  She did a wonderful job and eventhough we missed my grandmother, it was nice to all be together for the holiday and remember her.

Shoebox Swap and OCC Fall Challenge

Tonight I have an exciting shoebox swap with some fellow Stampin Up Demos and this is the project that I came up with for the group to make.  I just love this Spice Cake DSP in the Holiday Mini.  I also thought I'd submit this to play in the Our Creative Corner Fall Challenge this week as well.

The Paper Players Challenge #65

Wow it has been quite a while since I've posted anything.  I've been very busy traveling the world.  :)

Today's post is a card I created for a very good friend who got into the Boston Marathon.  For inspiration, I decided to play The Paper Players challenge this week.  The sketch was created by an amazing Stampin Up Demonstrator Anne Marie Hile.  Her creations are so beautiful and I visit her website daily so go check it out!

SWAP for Stampin Friends

I won a free pass to the Stampin Fun and Friends for this month.  I decided to participate in the swap and the theme was "winged friendship".  Since I have yet to purchase the butterfly punch (gotta have this punch), my only other option was to use the build a bird punch.  I do love this punch.  I decided to also try the quilt technique I've been seeing on a lot of projects lately.  I really like how this turned out.

Card for Stampin Royalty Challenge #77

I wanted to try making a pinwheel for this challenge to add to my card.  I've been seeing a lot of cards made with pinwheels and I really love them!  They are so easy to make!

Created this card for Mojo Monday's Challenge this week.  I used an old stamp set from Stampin Up that I really still love and can't get rid of.

I created this card for the Mojo Monday creative challenge.  I liked the color combo on this one.  I'm trying to experiment with different colors and get away from always using a whisper white layer.

Flower using Owl Punch

What a great idea from Valita's blog.....who would have guessed that the owl punch could be used to make these gorgeous roses.

I used the below punch (Owl Punch item #118074)

To make the below gorgeous flower
It was so easy.  Sign up for a class and I'll show you how to make one!

Flower bouquet using Cricut

Build a blossom and Petal Punch

I've been wanting to try out my petal punch along with the build a blossom stamp set from Stampin Up!  I've been seeing so many beautiful cards made with these two items that I had to try it out for myself.

Later today I'll be posting pictures of this really cool project I created for my friend Sarah who turned 40 today.  I still have to deliver it to her so I'll have to post the pictures tonight.

New name for blog

I've renamed my blog....wasn't really happy with the other name.  I have a new URL now since the name changed.  I also added a link on the right to be able to shop 24/7 for Stampin Up! supplies.

Special Delivery

I made this cute basket for my friends yesterday and dropped it off by their house.  It's funny how my friends have named these special deliveries "Drive by stampin".  I love doing nice suprises for my friends and sharing my homemade creations.  Adding candy doesn't seem to hurt either.  ;)

I'm a Stampin Up! Demonstrator Now

I decided to sign up to be a Stampin Up Demonstrator and share my love of rubber stamping with my friends.  It is amazing all the beautiful things you can create with Stampin Up products and how easy it is to do.  I look forward to sharing ideas and projects with my friends to get them hooked on this crafting thing like me!

I went to a technique class last night and learned how to use tissue paper to make a silk effect on projects.  Below is a picture of two of the projects I made.

More to come on my new adventure at being a demonstrator.  I'll also add how you can order supplies from me or host a party soon to my blog.
