Handcarved DSP for Mojo Monday 387

Inspiration for cards can come from some of the most unlikely places.  My inspiration for this week's Mojo Monday Challenge came from a bedspread I saw on none other than MTV's show The Real World - Skeletons. (I can't believe I am admitting I watch that show)  I have been wanting to order the Handcarved background stamp for a while because I saw some potential for quick cards using this stamp.  However the moment I saw the design and colors in the bedspread below, I quickly placed my order for the stamp.

So for my card, I inked up the background stamp with the crumb cake stamp pad then used my stampin' write marker in island indigo to color various pieces of the design.  I then stamped it onto a piece of whisper white cardstock to create my own DSP.  I love how it turned out, do you?  I added some pearls colored with crumb cake blendabilities to create custom colored embellishments.

I am trying to find better light to take pictures of my projects.  I am using my iPhone to take the pictures and am wondering if I'd get better color breaking out my SLR camera.  I'll have to do some experimenting.

Thanks for reading and Happy Stamping!
