New square pillow box die with inlay butterfly die cutting

Happy Sunday!

For today's project I used a new item from the upcoming holiday catalog.  This cute square pillow box thinlit is the perfect gift packaging for so many items.  It comes together super quick by cutting the pillow box die twice and gluing together.

I used some retired In Color DSP in Calypso Coral to match the inlaid Calypso Coral pieces in the butterfly.  Sometimes you just have to use up some of your old paper.  I am trying to use my old DSP to make room for some of the great new designs that have come out in both the main catalog and now the holiday catalog.

I used some of the gorgeous dotted lace ribbon and gold sequin trim to finish off the box.  I bet you think I am crazy to have carefully pieced all the Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron pieces into the butterfly.  Well I am crazy but this was actually super easy using the method I have come up with.  I'll be doing a video on how to easily piece small intricate cut outs back together quickly.  Stay tuned!

Here is a picture of the butterfly up close and personal:

The weekend is quickly coming to a close so enjoy the day!  Stamp away!  Thanks for stopping by.

XOXO,
Christy
