Shine Sunshine Card Using Sunburst Bundle

Happy Hump Day!  Hope you are having a good week so far and we are halfway to the weekend.  For today's card I am using some products I got in my recent Stampin Up haul and you can see everything I got in my haul video on my YouTube Channel or watch it below:

For today's card I am using the Sunburst Thinlit Die and coordinating stamp set Sunburst Sayings.  I love all the different things you can do with this die and because of the great bundle price, I decided to go ahead and get the stamp set as well (which I'm glad I did!).  I cut out the sunburst in hello honey cardstock and layered this on top of a piece of retired In Color DSP Pattern Paper Pack in lost lagoon using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue.  I really liked how the chevron pattern looked behind the sunburst as I wanted this to give the feel of sky.

I cut out three cloud shapes from vellum using the tree builder punch which makes the perfect clouds.  I then stamped the "shine" sentiment onto a piece of whisper white cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed this with silver embossing powder.  I then cut this out with the 2" circle punch.

I stamped the "it's your day" sentiment in Versamark on some lost lagoon cardstock and then cut it down to make a strip.  I flagged each end with my paper snips and layered this onto the circle piece.  I adhered the circle piece directly in the center of the sunburst with some dimensionals.  I tucked the clouds behind the circle so I had a place to hide the adhesive.

I just love how this card turned out and can't wait for my friend to receive it.  I made this card with my good friend in mind who is running the London marathon in a couple weeks.  I need to get in the habit of sending more of the cards I make to people because it is so easy to do and can make such an impact on someone's day.  I absolutely love getting cards in the mail but my mailbox is mostly filled with junk and bills.  Sending handmade kindness.....something I will do more often.
