For some reason a green or tan striped background stuck in my mind and I couldn't come up with any other design without using that element. So I dug through my ever growing stash of designer series paper and found the perfect green striped paper that retired from the 2015-2016 holiday catalog called Season of Cheer.
I pulled out the stamp set Picture Perfect and decided to use the starfish two step stamps to create the pop of brown to bring all the colors together from the challenge. I had yet to use this image from the stamp set and though it was the perfect time to use it. I stamped the starfish with crumb cake and tip top taupe inks and then fussy cut it out. I cut out the nest shaped image from Swirly Scribbles thinlits in some birch wood paper I got from Altenew. I then sponged on some crumb cake to darken up the wood paper so it better matched the other colors in the card.
I used some natural twine and made the loose circle pattern that is popular for threads. I adhered the wood paper die cut first using Ranger Multi Medium Matte glue then layered the twine on top of that with some glue dots. I adhered the starfish using foam adhesive so that it would give the image some dimension. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set onto some mossy meadow cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed it in white. I created a banner by cutting a fishtail in one end of the sentiment scrap and then adhered that onto the card front with foam adhesive.
I layered this whole piece onto a card base made from crumb cake cardstock using Tombow Multi Liquid glue. I added a few white sequins and glued those with the Ranger Multi Medium and that finished the card.
