Falling Flowers Watercolor Card Using Zig Clean Clear Real Brush Markers with Video Tutorial

Hi there stampers!  I meant to get this video and card shared with you on Friday but was in a car accident and spent most of the day in the ER.  I am ok thank goodness and just suffered some whiplash with muscle soreness.  I took yesterday off to relax and rest but am back in the stamp room today.
For today's card I am using a ton of new projects including these Zig Clean Clear Real Brush Markers I got from Amazon.  I have been seeing a lot of videos and projects made with these markers and after a year of looking at them, I went ahead and bought the 48 pack.  And well I love them!  These things are fantastic!
I used the new background stamp called Diagonal Stripe to create a striped background piece using smoky slate ink onto a piece of whisper white cardstock.  This background stamp is a must have for your collection as it creates gorgeous striped backgrounds quick and easily.  After stamping the background, I got a piece of watercolor paper and stamped a bunch of the floral images using Versamark ink from the new Falling Flowers stamp set onto the rough side of the watercolor paper.

I stamped the images using my MISTI tool so I could double stamp each image to ensure I got a good crisp image to heat emboss.  I heat embossed all the images in white embossing powder and then it was time to watercolor them using my new Zig markers.  I colored the flowers directly with the markers and then used an aquabrush to spread the color around letting the water do all the work.  These markers blend beautifully alone but are really magically when you add water.  Just a little marker goes a long way to getting bright vibrant color.

I then cut out all the floral images using the coordinating framelits set called May Flowers.  Having coordinating die sets makes cutting out these images super easy and I am excited to see how many bundle sets we have in the new catalog this year.

I made an A2 size top folding card base from some thick whisper white cardstock and cut the diagonal striped piece down to about 1/2 inch smaller than the card front on one side.  I added a strip of glitter tape on the left hand side and then adhered the striped piece on top with some Tombow Multipurpose glue.  I then arranged my floral bouquet and picked all the pieces up using some Press n' Seal.  The Press n' Seal keeps the arrangement in place and allows for me to add glue without having to remember how I had the layout.

I then adhered the floral arrangement onto my card front with some dimenionals and glue.  I heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set Feather Together in some Wow metallic silver sparkle embossing glitter onto some vellum.  I cut the sentiment down and adhered to the top of the card.  I added some wink of stella to the flowers to add additional bling and shine.
