Coloring Kraft Cardstock with Different Mediums Using SU Paisleys & Poises

Happy Friday Stampers!  We have had such gorgeous weather here it was quite a surprise to wake up to rain.  I can't complain though and we need the rain to water all the grass we planted.  Rainy days make for perfect stamping weather!
For today's post I am sharing a video I made showing the technique of coloring kraft cardstock and the different looks you get using different coloring mediums.

The first coloring medium I featured in the video is using Stampin Up Write Markers to color directly onto a piece of crumb cake.  I stamped several images from the Stampin Up Paisleys & Poises stamp set using Versamark ink onto a piece of crumb cake cut to 4.25. x. 5.5.  I applied white embossing powder and then heat set all the images with my heat tool.  After embossing all the images, I got to coloring them with the In Color Write Marker set.  I love these 5 new colors from Stampin Up and just thought they looked beautiful on this kraft colored cardstock.

The next medium I featured was a plain white colored pencil.  I started with the same stamped and white heat embossed card layer but instead of coloring with markers, I used the white colored pencil. This gives you a more soft look that is perfect for wedding cards, sympathy cards, or really any occasion.

The last couple mediums I showed in the video are Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers and Zig Real Clean Color Markers.  The sparkle markers give so much shimmer and shine to your card.  Zigs are a great alternative if you don't have the Stampin Write Markers or anything similar.
