2017 Stampin Up Catalog - So Detailed Thinlits and Ink Blending

Hi there stampers!  I have a fun technique card for you today that has a lot of ink blending and some masking using the new gorgeous So Detailed Thinlits from the 2017 Occasions Catalog.  You can get these gorgeous thinlits with the coordinating stamp set (So in Love) in a bundle for 10% off.  You are going to want this bundle after seeing this card.

I started with the beautiful intricate floral thinlit and cut out a mask using some Inkadinkado masking paper.  I then applied this mask to a piece of watercolor paper and blended on some Distress Inks in candied apple and dried marigold.  I used my mini ink blending tools and started by daubing on the ink as opposed to the circular motion I typically do when ink blending.  The mask is very delicate so I had to be careful not to tear ink while ink blending.

After applying all the ink, I spattered on some water and picked that up with a paper towel to give me the water marks on the panel.  I then added some ink splatters to the background as well and did not remove the mask until I finished adding all my splatters.

I then blended the same distress inks on a scrap of watercolor paper and cut out the sentiment using the Sunshine Wishes thinlits.  I then cut out the heart shape from those same thinlits from some gold glitter paper.  I adhered both the front of my card.  I then adhered the panel onto a top folding A2 card base made from thick whisper white cardstock using craft foam for dimension.  I added a strip of calypso coral and gold glitter paper to the side for some added interest.

Stampin Up 2017 Occasions Catalog - Dragonfly Dreams

Hi there stampers!  The snow is starting to melt and I couldn't be happier.  It was fun to have some winter weather but I hate to admit I am already looking forward to spring.  I have another card and video today featuring new products from the 2017 Occasions Catalog.

I am featuring the new bundle called Dragonfly Dreams.  You can purchase this stamp set and thinlit set together for 10% off which is a great deal!  You can also purchase the products individually as well.  I used the dot pattern stamp from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set to stamp several ink colors onto a panel made from some whisper white cardstock.  I used perfect plum, marina mist, and pink pirouette inks to stamp the dot pattern and also to add ink splatters.

I die cut the dragonflies from whisper white 4 times using the Detailed Dragonfly dies and adhered all the die cuts together to give me a chipboard look.  I then inlaid this into the panel and covered the entire die cut with clear Wink of Stella.

I added a sentiment from the stamp set Blooms & Wishes which is in the annual catalog and heat set that using gold embossing powder.  The entire panel was adhered to an A2 top folding card base made from thick whisper white cardstock.

Stampin Up 2017 Sale-a-bration and Occasions Catalog - Delicate Details

Happy Saturday stampers!  Well we did not quite get Snowmageddon but we did get a lot of sleet with ice.  I think I'd rather have had the 12 inches of snow but that gives me a great excuse to stay inside and stamp!
Today I have a card and video featuring a couple new stamp sets.  The first stamp set is Delicate Details which you can get FREE during Sale-a-bation.  For every $50 you spend before shipping and tax, you get to chose one item from the Sale-a-bation catalog FREE!!  Yes, free!  And let me tell you there are some awesome products in the catalog including designer series paper and a card tin.  So many options.
The other stamp set I am showcasing is from the Occasions Catalog called So In Love.  This stamp set can be purchased alone or in a bundle with the beautiful thinlits called So Detailed.  Both are absolutely gorgeous but if you purchase them together you get 10% off the price.
I used all the stamps in the Delicate Details stamp set and stamped the background panel in tip top taupe.  I then added some ink splatters in tip top taupe and sweet sugarplum.  I then used the Flourish Thinlits from the Annual Catalog to cut out the flower and leaves which I adhered to the panel with some foam adhesive.

I heat embossed the sentiment from So In Love in copper embossing powder onto some vellum and adhered that to the flower arrangement.  The entire panel was adhered to an A2 top folding card base made from tip top taupe cardstock.  This was a quick and easy card but it has a lot of wow factor!

Stampin Up 2017 Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration is LIVE

Hi there stampers!  Yesterday was an exciting day with the official launch of the 2017 Occasions Catalog along with Sale-a-bration starting.  Everyone was so excited to order we crashed the system for several hours.  But no worries, all ordering is back up and ready for you to place that order!

I have been having so much fun playing with all my new stuff from the Occasions Catalog but check out this adorable stamp set Tasty Trucks!  And guess what, I got this stamp set free during Sale-a-bration!  Yep, that's right I said free.  For every $50 order (before tax and shipping) you can choose one item from the Sale-a-bration catalog for free.  And let me tell you there are so many must have products in the Sale-a-bration catalog that you can only get with a qualifying $50 order.

I watercolored this adorable food truck from the stamp set along with some of the food images.  I fussy cut them all out and adhered them to a piece of vellum cut using the stitched shapes framelits.  This was layered onto another circle cut from island indigo.  The background panel was created by arranging all the food image stamps onto an acrylic block and stamping them to create my own design series paper.  Super easy but so cute!!

This is the best time of year to not only shop, but sign up as a demonstrator!  For more information, send me an email at thestampcycle@gmail.com.  It is also a fantastic time to host a party so you can get lots of FREE stuff!  You don't have to be local to my area to host a party as I can also do virtual parties as well.
