Stampin Up 2017 Annual Catalog: Floral Statement with Gansai Tambi Pearl Watercolors

Hi there stampers!  I have to first apologize for the mess my blog is in right now.  Some of my images lost their link and I've contacted my blog designer for help.  So please excuse the mess.  I didn't want to wait to share this card and video I made using the gorgeous stamp set Floral Statements from the 2017-2018 Stampin Up Annual Catalog.

This stamp set makes it so easy to create the most beautiful cards because the images become the focal point.  You can color these images with so many different mediums but for my card today I decided to break out my Ganasi Tambi Pearl Color Watercolors.  These watercolors are just gorgeous and create so much shine to your card.

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and I stamped the thank you image using Versamark Ink.  I used my MISTI to do all my stamping so that I could ensure I got a nice crisp stamped image and ended up stamping the image three times just to make sure.  After stamping, I added pale gold embossing powder from WOW and heat set with my heat tool.  I then used my Gansai Tambi Pearl Watercolors to color the image.

While the watercolor panel dried, I then created the striped background using the Diagonal Stripe Background stamp from Stampin Up.  I used Flirty Flamingo ink to stamp the background using my MISTI.  I then used Simon Says Stamp Double Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out the stripe panel, watercolor panel, and also a piece of vellum.

I then adhered the watercolor panel to the vellum using 3M foam tape and glued that panel onto the striped background using Tombow multipurpose glue.  This was adhered to an A2 top folding card base made from Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I added some Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins to finish off the card.
